Moon Baths

I recently read an article about bathing/showering habits, and while the article itself was boring and easily forgotten, I found the readers' comments very interesting. It seems, there is no standard practice for when we take our baths and showers. Some of us shower every morning to start our day fresh and alert. Some of us prefer to shower when we get home from work, rinsing off the dirt of the day and replacing our work clothes with comfy clothes. And some of us prefer a moon bath - a warm and leisurely soak at the end of the day.

Those of us who enjoy an evening bath, understand the soothing embrace of soaking in warm & scented water where relaxation takes center stage, stress and anxiety levels gently ebb away, and a peaceful night's sleep awaits. It is for you that I created a special collection of Moon Bath Milks in lovely 3 scents - Lavender and Rosewood, Bergamot and Cedar, and Soft Floral. You can enjoy these bath milks at any time, but if you desire, you can embrace the magic of a full moon by partaking in a rejuvenating ritual bath, allowing it to cleanse away negative emotions and release past burdens. Or, when the new moon graces the night sky, a leisurely bath is the perfect time to dream of fresh beginnings and set your intentions.

The benefits of a moon bath to our emotional and spiritual well-being are many, including a reduction in stress and anxiety, emotional balance, energy alignment, self-reflection, and reconnection with the elements of nature. We can set our intentions and let our creative ideas flow, or let our minds wander and relinquish our need to be productive. We can light candles and focus on deep breathing and meditation, or we can relax with a book. It is not important HOW you enjoy your moon bath - the only necessary part is that we carve out some space for ourselves to replenish our store of energy, ease away the stresses of the day, and connect to the daily rhythms of the earth - the setting sun and the rising moon.

The physical benefits of my Moon Bath Milk ingredients are:

Buttermilk: Powdered buttermilk contains protein & fat that moisturize and ease dry skin. It also contains lactic acid that acts as a gentle exfoliant, that helps shed dry skin cells which can lead to softer skin.

Colloidal Oatmeal: Colloidal Oatmeal, also known as oat flour, contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties and has been used for centuries to soothe irritated and itchy skin. It is specifically recommended to treat dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, insect bites and dry itchy skin.

Sea Salt: Sea Salt baths are recommended for people with psoriasis, eczema and other dry skin conditions. Sea Salt stimulates circulation, eases muscle aches, & helps relieve joint stiffness.

My Moon Bath Milk Collection comes in a slide box containing 3 individual glass jars of bath milk, each with its own subtle fragrance and topped with a sprinkling of flower petals. These make a thoughtful gift or are a lovely way to treat yourself.
